Liverpool failed to secure all three points in the English Premier League as they lost to Leicester City at the Kings Power Stadium on Tuesday evening. A lone goal from Ademola Lookman gave the Foxes the deserved win over the Merseyside Reds.
Liverpool had the first golden chance in the game after they were awarded a penalty, but Mohamed Salah failed to convert with Kasper Schmeichel saving it, and the Egyptian failed to do justice to the rebounds.
Leicester City players’ performance was top-notch against the Reds, but here are the four best players in the game against the second-placed team on the League table.
1 Wilfred Ndidi
The Nigerian international gave away a penalty Salah missed in the first half but was solid all through the game despite being played out of position. He was deployed in the centre back position and was solid alongside Daniel Amartey.
2 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
The English midfielder was awesome in the middle of the park for the Foxes and set up Lookman for the only goal of the game. He proved once again why he is getting the starting XI shirt under Brendan Rodgers recently.
3 Kasper Schmeichel
The Danish goalkeeper gave a 10/10 performance against the Reds. He saved Salah’s penalty in the first half and made a total of four world-class saves to earn his team all three points.
4 Ademola Lookman
The RB Leipzig loanee scored the only goal of the game and his introduction in the second half changed the attacking aspect of the Leicester City game. The technique in which he scored the goal is something that deserves credits.
