English Premier League star Ferran Torres has returned to the Spanish La Liga as he joins Barcelona from Manchester City. The Spanish forward is the Catalans first big signing in January transfer window.

Torres who joined Manchester City few seasons ago from Valencia is now back to Spain after failing to break into Pep Guardiola’s starting eleven.


Barcelona released an official statement on their website to announce the signing of Ferran Torres from English Premier League side Manchester City.


“FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with Manchester City for the transfer of Ferran Torres. The player has signed a contract for the next five seasons, until 30 June 2027, and his buyout clause has been set at 1 billion euros,” the club stated.

The former Valencia forward will be unveiled as new Barcelona player on Monday 3rd of January, from 11.00am CET.
